steps to successfully starting a podcast

Do I have a podcast, no… So why am I writing about this? A lot of my business is creating graphics for podcasts and podcasters. And because fo that, I get a lot of questions about how to start, grow, and stay with it. Here are my six top tips:

1// Idea

The idea behind the podcast is important, but not as important as the execution. It so often is just about starting! The idea doesn't have to be perfect, the project can evolve! 

2// Cover Art

Hello, pick me 🙋🏼‍♀️ Try to be different here. Look at your niche and pick a color, look, etc that will stand out. Make something that someone will want to click on! (Hot Tip: If you are DIYing, make sure to look at the design in a zoomed-out format! Pod covers are small!)

3// Launch Strategy

How are you going to reach your ideal audience? How will you promote the podcast? I can help here with podcast consultations!

4️// Equipment

Audio quality is HUGE!! Making sure you have the right equipment is very important to start off! And it doesn't have to be $$$

5️// Social Media Plan + Graphics

Just start posting? Content Plan? Pillars? This is also something I address during consultations!

6️// Consistency

Last but definitely the most important! You want to create something people can rely on, come back to, and look forward to! Stick with it!
